A global organization helping people connect compassionately with themselves and one another with Nonviolent Communication language, created by Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D. The Focusing Institute. A not-for-profit 501C3 organization founded in 1986. Its mission is to make Focusing available to the academic and scholarly communities and to the public at large. An international community, the Focusing Institute received the Charlotte Buehler award from Division 32 of the American Psychological Association for theirwork in developing resources and training for psychotherapists and bringing self-help and community development skills to the public. Institute for Bio Spiritual Research. Promoting Bio Spritual Focusing, the institute is a network of parents, counselors, health care providers, hospice volunteers, clergy and sisters, teachers, therapists, retreat house staffs and spiritual guides dedicated to peace-making through human wholeness. What ties this organization together is the growing conviction that humankind will never move forward in its quest for global peace and a responsible care of our planet until we discover a simple, body-based “spiritual practice” for daily living--a practice that gradually reveals the sacred giftedness of all life and our tied-in-ness to all that exists.
